Senapati: As part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Utsav, the District Administration, Senapati, further continued its outreach initiative under the Seva Setu Abhiyan today, organising special service camps in Tadubi, Willong and Phaibung Chilivai Sub-Divisions. The initiative aims to bring government welfare schemes and essential public services closer to the people, particularly those residing in remote and far-flung areas of the district.

The camp in Tadubi was held at the SDO Office Hall, while the camp in Willong was organised at the Sangkhumai Multi-Purpose Centre. In Phaibung Chilivai, the camp was conducted at the Phaibung Khunou Village Community Hall. The camps were held under the supervision of Pf. Lophro, MCS, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Tadubi; S. Plim Reikhenamai, MCS, SDO, Willong; and James Panii, MCS, SDO, Phaibung Chilivai, respectively.

During the camps, various line departments distributed agricultural inputs, including knapsack sprayers, green gram, mustard seeds and maize, along with tree saplings to beneficiaries. A range of citizen-centric services was also provided, including beneficiary enrolment and verification, issuance of certificates, free health check-ups, screening for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and facilitation of access to various government schemes and services.

Officials from the participating departments sensitised the public about various flagship schemes and government programmes, explaining their benefits, eligibility criteria and application procedures. Departmental stalls were also set up to enable citizens to interact directly with officials, obtain information, complete necessary documentation and submit applications on the spot.

A key focus of the camps was to identify eligible beneficiaries who may have been left out of welfare schemes due to a lack of awareness, accessibility constraints or other barriers, and to facilitate their inclusion in appropriate government programmes.

In addition to the outreach activities, officials of the District Administration visited Lower Primary Schools at Phaibung Khullen, Phaibung Khunou and Lower Phaibung to inspect their functioning and assess the prevailing conditions. They also visited flood-affected areas to take stock of the situation and review the conditions on the ground.

The continued implementation of the Seva Setu Abhiyan reflects the commitment of the District Administration, Senapati, to strengthening community participation and ensuring inclusive, accessible and people-centric governance. By bringing essential services directly to the doorsteps of citizens, particularly in remote and underserved areas, the initiative seeks to bridge the gap between government institutions and the public while ensuring that eligible beneficiaries can access the welfare schemes and services available to them.
