Ukhrul: Shangshak Battalion of Assam Rifles extended prompt medical assistance to a civilian at Shangshak Village, reaffirming its role in safeguarding the health and well-being of the local population.
Gemik, a 37-year-old storekeeper at Finch Corner, Shangshak Village, reported to the Unit Hospital with an alleged injury. Assam Rifles officials and personnel immediately attended to the case, with the Regimental Medical Officer carrying out emergency wound management. The medical team swiftly performed dressing and suturing of the injury, administered oral medication and ensured the patient was stabilised.
The timely intervention underscored the importance of immediate medical support in remote areas where access to healthcare facilities remains limited. The assistance provided not only addressed the urgent medical requirement but also reflected the humanitarian approach of the Force in extending care to civilians during emergencies.
