Tengnoupal : A medical camp was organised at Kwatha Village, Tengnoupal District, under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), as part of ongoing efforts to provide accessible healthcare services to remote and underserved communities. 

The camp was conducted under the supervision of Assam Rifles officials and personnel. Medical consultation, basic healthcare assistance and essential guidance were extended to the villagers, addressing immediate health concerns while also creating awareness about preventive healthcare and the importance of timely medical intervention. 

A total of 110 patients benefitted from the initiative, including approximately 50 children, 35 women and 25 men. The medical team attended to each patient, offering advice on maintaining good health, personal hygiene, nutrition and adopting preventive practices. The camp also served as a valuable platform for interaction between Assam Rifles personnel and the local villagers, fostering trust and goodwill. 

The villagers expressed their gratitude for the medical assistance, acknowledging the significance of such outreach in a region where healthcare facilities remain limited. The initiative not only brought essential services closer to the doorstep of the community but also reinforced the bond between the Force and the local population. By addressing immediate needs and sensitising the community on long-term health practices, the camp reflected the ethos of service and the importance of strengthening civil-military relations in Manipur’s border districts.
