CJ Meghalaya administers oath to judicial officers

the Chief Justice urged the officers to work diligently and to render their services with utmost commitment.

Shillong: The Chief Justice of the High Court of Meghalaya and Patron-in-Chief Meghalaya State Judicial Academy, Justice Biswanath Somadder administered the Oath to three Grade-I Judicial Officers at a function held today in the Conference Hall of the High Court of Meghalaya.

In his brief speech, the Chief Justice urged the officers to work diligently and to render their services with utmost commitment. He stated that the profession that they are in is not a career but rather a commitment and it is also not a job but a duty towards mankind.

The most important duty of the Judges is to try to remove inequality which is why in the Constitution the word, Justice is followed by Social, Economical and Political, he added.

Others who were present are, Justice H S Thangkhiew, Judge of the High Court of Meghalaya and Judge-in-Charge Meghalaya State Judicial Academy, Justice W Diengdoh, Judge of the High Court of Meghalaya and Director, Meghalaya State Judicial Academy, C Dkhar,.
