Shillong: The staff of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides celebrated ‘April Cool Day’ on April 1 by planting plants in their office premises in the city.
“I am glad to inform that the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides office, Shillong, celebrated the 1st of April, 2021 as ‘April Cool Day’ instead of April Fools’ Day in a benefiting way,” said A Swer, state secretary, Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides (MBSG) in a statement
“The staff of the State Headquarters planted and arranged the pot plants to beautify and maintain the cleanliness of the State Headquarters, MBSG and also made the campus look very cool with all the greens surrounding the field,” she said.
Plants around like Bottle-brushes, Bougainvillas, Camelias, Forget-me-nots, palm trees, Blue tango, snake plants and other ornamental plants were taken care of by adding manure for maintaining cleanliness and for the beautification of the campus, Swer said.
