Manipur: Paomee Welfare Foundation calls for application for MFA Scheme

The assistance to the beneficiaries is due for distribution in April-May 2022, said a statement by the Foundation, here on Monday.

Imphal: Paomee Welfare Foundation, Manipur issues a final call for applications from bona fide, past and present primary members of the All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union, AMWJU, to avail the Medical Financial Assistance (MFA) Scheme, Phase-2 for the year 2021-22.

Those eligible members can apply for medical treatment expenses incurred between 1st October 2021 to 31st March 2022. The assistance to the beneficiaries is due for distribution in April-May 2022, said a statement by the Foundation, here on Monday. 

Last date for submission in the prescribed application form available at the Manipur Press Club Reception, along with supporting documents is 20th April 2022.

PWF’s MFA scheme is an annual financial assistance scheme offered in two phases interspersed by six months. The Foundation came into being in 2017 to independently manage AMWJU’s corpus Funds of over Rs 85 lakhs, raised by way of a Mega Lottery organized in 2017. 

The Foundation offers one-time medical financial assistance to its retired and present members. Present members may also nominate one of their immediate family members as a one-time beneficiary. PWF funds its medical assistance scheme out of the interest earned from the corpus fund kept as fixed deposit with State Bank of India.
