Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Wednesday congratulated Olympian PR Sreejesh for winning the country’s prestigious Khel Ratna award.
The Chief Minister tweeted that “Congratulations to Indian hockey goalkeeper olympian P R Sreejesh on winning the prestigious Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award. @16Sreejesh has become the third Malayali to win the highest sporting honour of the country. Wishing him more success.”
The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports announced the National Sports Awards-2021 on Tuesday.
He will receive the award from President Ram Nath Kovind at a function to be held at Durbar Hall of Rashtrapati Bhavan on November 13.
