Chief Minister Zoramthanga leads floral tributes on Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday

Celebrated yearly across the country on October 2nd, Gandhi Jayanti is one of the few officially declared national holidays of India, observed in all of its states and territories.

Aizawl: Floral tributes were paid at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi early this morning at Zodin Square, MG Road, Aizawl by Chief Minister Zoramthanga and other leaders of the state on the 152nd birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation.

Deputy Chief Minister Tawnluia, Speaker Lalrinliana Sailo, Home Minister Lalchamliana were among those who offered floral wreaths on the occasion. Some Ministers, Dy Speaker, MLAs, and important officials also placed floral offerings.
