Imphal: Manipur reported 4 Covid related deaths, 216 new positive cases (206 general population 10 CAPF) and 219 recoveries In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Thursday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 4 persons who succumbed to the deadly virus include 2 from Imphal West and one each from Chandel and Kangpokpi. Three of the deceased had taken the 1st dose of the Covid vaccine. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1821.
The 206 persons (96 males, 110 females) from the general population who tested positive include 94 from Imphal West, 39 from Imphal East, 20 each from Ukhrul and Kangpokpi, 11 from Thoubal, 9 from Senapati, 8 from Churachandpur, 4 each from Chandel and Kamjong, 3 from Bishnupur, 2 from Kakching and 1 each from Pherzawl and Tamenglong.
Altogether, 3,122 samples were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 6.9 %.
Of the 219 persons who were discharged, 58 were from home isolation, 101 from CCCs, 41 from CHICs, 6 from RIMS and 13 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 96.24 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,17,913 (General Population – 1, 13,710, Central Security Personnel 4,203). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 13,478 (General Population – 1, 09,338, Central Security Personnel – 4,140). The number of active cases is 2,614 (General Population – 2,556, Personnel – 58).
The total number of doses administered on September 15, 2021, is 5,157 and the cumulative number doses administered is 16,12,138 (1st dose 12,10,874, 2nd dose 4,01,264)
The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 16 is 607 out of which 501 are general beds while 106 are ICU beds.
The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 16 is 3467 out of which 811 are occupied and 2656 are vacant.
