Agartala: Tripura government has announced plans to install micro-grid solar power plants in 23 remote villages where providing electricity through conventional sources of power is not possible, said Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma here on Saturday, who holds the power portfolio.
Verma on Saturday inaugurated a 2-Kilowatt micro-grid solar power plant at Sarkipara in Nunacherra ADC village under Mungiakami block of Khowai district, which is lighting up the hamlet of 14 families for the first time with electricity.
