Imphal: Manipur registered 7 covid related deaths, 467 new positive cases and 825 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Monday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
Of the 7 persons who succumbed to the deadly pandemic, two each of them were from Bishnupur and Kakching while one each of them belongs to Imphal East, Imphal West and Tengnoupal. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,657.
Of these 10 persons who expired, five of them had co-morbidities while one of them have been vaccinated with the 1st dose.
The 467 persons (231males, 236 females) who tested positive from amongst the general population include 125 from Imphal West, 118 from Imphal East, 94 from Bishnupur, 41 from Churachandpur, 25 from Thoubal, 16 each from Kakching, 14 from Senapati, 12 from Chandel, 11 from Tamenglong, seven from Kangpokpi, and two each from Jiribam and Ukhrul.
Altogether 3,005 persons were tested on Friday amounting for a positivity rate of 15.5%.
Meanwhile, 825 persons were discharged which include 364 from home isolation, 271 from CHICs, 161 from CCCs, 17 from JNIMS and 12 from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state stands at 91.73% on Sunday.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,04,731(General Population – 1,00,734, Central Security Personnel – 4,057). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 96,128(General Population – 92,155, Central Security Personnel – 3,973). The number of active cases is 7,006(General Population – 6,927, Personnel – 74).
Altogether, 3,475 were vaccinated on August 8, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 13,93,780(1st dose 11,48,092, 2nd dose 2,45,688).
The total number of vacant hospital beds available in the state as on August 8 at 6pm is 222 which include 162 general beds and 53 ICU/HDU beds.
Of the total 3547 beds available in CCCs in the state, 1288 are occupied while 2259 are vacant, the release added.
