Weapons, warlike store found in Manipur’s CCpur district

Responding to the pressing medical care needs of locals affected due to the ongoing security situation, the Indian Army conducted a medical camp at P Moulding village on Thursday.

Kohima: An extensive search by a combined team of Assam Rifles, BSF and Manipur police in the general area of Gothal-Phoulijang in Churachandpur district recovered one 9mm Carbine gun, one Tear Gas Gun and one Improvised Mortar, ammunition and other warlike stores on Thursday.

The recoveries have been handed over to Churachandpur Police Station for further investigation. 

During the operation a medical camp was also organised and essential items were distributed at Gothal-Phoulijang village as part of Civic Action programme.

Medical camp in P Moulding 

Responding to the pressing medical care needs of locals affected due to the ongoing security situation and those residing in relief camps and adjoining hill areas in Liemakhong district, Manipur, the Indian Army conducted a medical camp at P Moulding village on Thursday. 

A team of Army doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals provided much-needed medical care to over 190 people, including 93 children, ranging from basic health checkups to medication and recommendations for further treatments. 

This effort underlines the resolve of the Army, exemplifying the indomitable spirit of unity and compassion towards prioritising the well-being of Indian citizens and ensuring that no one is left without the necessary medical attention during these challenging circumstances in Manipur state, a statement by Amit Shukla, PRO & Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, Manipur, Nagaland and Southern Arunachal Pradesh, said.
