VB-G RAM G scheme launched in Noney district

Noney: The Noney district administration today officially launched the VB-G RAM G Scheme at the DC Office Complex, Longmai  marking the beginning of the implementation of the new rural development programmes in the district.

During the launch programme, Deputy Commissioner Noney, Vidhyamari Sridhar highlighted the key features of the new scheme, which replaces the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS). The DC urged all villages across Noney district to make maximum use of the scheme to strengthen rural livelihoods and accelerate the developmental activities.

As part of the programme, the DC also distributed newly issued job cards under the VB-G RAM G Scheme to beneficiaries from Longmai Block, enabling eligible households to avail themselves of the benefits under the new initiative.

Officials from the district administration, block authorities and village representatives attended the launch programme, reaffirming their commitment to ensuring the effective implementation of the scheme across Noney district.
