Union minority affairs minister visits Churachandpur

Churachandpur: Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt of India John Barla today visited Sadbhavna Mandap Tuibong, Lanva Model High School, and PHSC Construction at Geljang, Sadbhavna Mandap Lamka South and SSA Residential School.

Speaking on the occasion, John Barla observed that construction of schools, residential schools and toilets is going on smoothly but due to the non-release of the complete fund some have not been completed fully.

He maintained that the scheme has not been utilized properly due to ignorance and that awareness needs to be spread at the grass-roots level so that minority group/class can avail facilities that have been given in the name of minorities.

He also assured that during his stay in the state, he will be meeting members from the Christian and Muslim communities, to spread awareness about the PM Schemes which can be availed.

The Minister also interacted with various community Leaders.
