Imphal: Tengnoupal Battalion foiled cross-border narcotics smuggling in Khudengthabi, Tengnoupal district on Friday and seized drugs worth Rs 2.5 crore.
Assam Rifles officials said while carrying out routine checking at Check post-Khudengthabi, troops of Assam Rifles intercepted a vehicle.
On thorough checking of the vehicle, five packages containing 5.85 kgs of WIY tablets were found concealed inside the vehicle.
The seized narcotics were handed over to Moreh Police Station for further investigation.
