Agartala: A five day budget session of Tripura assembly is scheduled to commence from March 17 next, which will be the last budget of BJP-IPFT government in the state.

Speaker Ratan Chakraborty said that the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting on Wednesday finalised the schedule and decided that after the conventional speech of the Governor, Deputy Chief Minister holding the finance portfolio Jishnu Dev Varma tabled the budget proposal for 2022-23 in the house on the first day.

A number of bills will be introduced in this session including Tripura replaying and saving bill, Introduction of Salary Allowances, Pensions and other benefits of ministers, speaker, deputy speaker, MLAs etc (7th Amendment) bill, Introduction of National Law University and Tripura Police (Amendment) bill, he stated.
