Training for women polling personnel of Ukhrul, Kamjong districts held

The DEO of Ukhrul & Kamjong districts Krishna Kumar IAS visited during the training and words of encouragement were shared to the trainees. He said election is the greatest festival in a democratic country like India.

Ukhrul: The second round of 240 women polling personnel training for the three assembly constituencies of Ukhurl and Kamjong districts was held at Ukhrul Higher Secondary School, here, Thursday. 

During the training, audio-visual demonstrations on the duties of the polling personnel and hands-on training on use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were thoroughly shared by the masters trainers.

The training also included  on the use of IT Apps like eAtlas, Booth App, Traccar App and Webcasting. The next and  third round of training will be held on March 2, 2022.

“Therefore a peaceful and smooth conduct of election is all our responsibility and achievement”’ he added. He further urged all polling officials to get covid19 vaccinations as it is not only for oneself but for the safety of voters. 

Meanwhile, the District Nodal Officer for training management Philip John, MCS, SDO for Sahamphung stated that the 3rd round of training for the 867 male polling personnel will be held  on February 25 for 43-Phungyar,  on February 26 for 44-Ukhrul and March 1 for 45-Chingai assembly constituency.

Ukhrul and Kamjong districts which have three assembly constituencies will deploy 1107 employees as polling personnel for the 219 polling stations out of which 45 polling stations will women polling personnel.
