Hyderabad: Telangana Finance Minister T Harish Rao on Saturday said that the government will issue titles for podu lands within one month.
Participating in the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Telangana Banjara Employees Seva Sangh here, he said after the formation of a separate statehood, every promise given to the tribals has been fulfilled.
He said that the credit of increasing the tribal reservation by 10 per cent goes to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Harish Rao said that 2475 Thands in the state have been converted into Gram Panchayats. The government has sanctioned Rs 450 crore to construct Gram Panchayat buildings in new Gram Panchayats. He assured to construct Banjara Bhavan in 1000 square Yards in Patancheru Assembly Constituency.
Stating that there was no college for tribal students in the united Andhra Pradesh, the Minister said the TRS government constructed 75 women’s residential degree colleges across the state.
The Minister alleged that the Centre is conspiring to lift the reservation. He demanded the Center to establish a tribal University in the state.
Harish Rao said that the birth Anniversary of Sri Sant Sevalal Maharaj, the idol of tribals, is being officially celebrated in the state.
