Imphal: Manipur reported three Covid-related deaths, 33 positive cases and 51 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Saturday, as per an official release from the Health Department.
The three persons who succumbed to the deadly virus are from Churachandpur, Kangpokpi and Tengnoupal. One of them had co-morbidities, one had taken the 2nd dose and one the precautionary dose. The cumulative deaths in the state now stand at 2,136.
Of the 33 persons who tested positive, nine are from Imphal East, eight from Imphal West, four from Churachandpur, three each from Thoubal and Ukhrul and one each from Bishnupur, Kamjong, Noney, Senapati and Tengnoupal. Altogether, 493 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 6.7 %.
Meanwhile, 51 persons recovered, 44 from home isolation, four from SHRI, two from RIMS and one from JNIMS. The recovery rate of the state as of Saturday stands at 98.27 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 328 out of which 1, 36,916 have recovered leaving 276 active cases in the state.
As of August 5, 2022, 123 D-type oxygen cylinders and 12 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.
The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on August 6, 2022 are as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which nine are occupied and 29 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which 19 are occupied and 43 are vacant.
The total number of doses administered on August 5, is 6,788, the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,29,521 (1st dose 16,20,780, 2nd dose 12,91,728) and precautionary dose is 2,17,013.
