Students express interest for career in Indian armed forces

Girls and students also took oath to participate in the upcoming examinations of the Armed Forces so that the world's largest democratic India moves forward at a rapid pace towards development.

Lucknow: A lecture on career in Indian Armed Forces was organised by 20 UP Girls NCC Battalion Lucknow in Lucknow Cantonment on Saturday which was attended by the NCC cadets and students of Army Public School.

Commanding Officer of 20 UP Girls NCC Battalion Lucknow during which Commanding Officer of 20 UP Girls NCC Battalion Colonel Vinod Joshi gave detailed information about written examinations, SSB and medical by UPSC. He said that the written examinations are held twice a year in the country and told the tricks of preparation to the cadets and students.

The CO also explained about the various tests in SSB which will last for 5 days. Col Joshi said that the selection in SSB is done by three skilled officers taking tests which are based on personality, skill and leadership qualities.

He told the future generation in detail about the 17 types of commissions in the army on 12th, undergraduate, postgraduate and technical graduate level. During this, NCC cadets and students also asked multi-faceted questions with enthusiasm and curiosity, which Col Joshi answered.

Col Vinod Joshi also spoke about the various adventure sports activities of the Army, Air Force and Navy which are the last hope of the nation and are ready to make supreme sacrifice till the last breath so that the nation can be protected in all directions.

Most of the students appeared very excited for a career in the third largest armies of the world. Colonel Vinod Joshi said that service in the army as a career is very satisfying. Here the armies give an opportunity to serve in the most difficult and complex conditions whether it is glacier, desert, deep sea or the heights of the sky.
