State govt preparing scheme for disputed border areas: Kesarkar

Talking to reporters Saturday morning, Mr Kesarkar, who is district guardian minister, said many agitations had taken place so far for the border issues, which was pending for last many years, but there was no any results so far and peoples are anguished. It was not our tradition as per attitude of Karnataka government, which it its behaviour now to restrict our ministers, and jailing our leaders.

Kolhapur:State education minister Deepak Kesarkar on Staurday said the state government was preparing a scheme for Marathi speaking people living in disputed border areas to resolve their problems.

Talking to reporters Saturday morning, Mr Kesarkar, who is district guardian minister, said many agitations had taken place so far for the border issues, which was pending for last many years, but there was no any results so far and peoples are anguished. It was not our tradition as per attitude of Karnataka government, which it its behaviour now to restrict our ministers, and jailing our leaders. So as a solution we preparing a scheme for Marathi speaking peoples living in disputed border areas to resolve their problems and also restart other schemes, which was closed by previous government.

Mr Kesarkar said as per advice by union home minister Amit Shah, Karnataka government should stop till the constitute a committee of two states comprising three MLAs of each states to discuss on border issue but that government passing resolutions state assembly, but such resolutions would not affect on border issue, which was pending before the supreme court and he hoped that the courts decision would come on facts.

On Mondays agitation of Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti before the Kolhapur district collect office , Mr Kesarkar said the agitation should be in peaceful manner and symbolically and without any marred to our attempt to resolve the issue. If the issue is to be resolved then it could not be resolved by violence path.
