Kolhapur: In an unfortunate incident, a six-year-old tiny girl was murdered with strangled after raped her, which incident occurred at Khochi in Hatkanangale tehsil of this district. Police arrested the suspected accused, who confessed the crime.
According to Peth-vadgoan police, a six-year-old tiny girl, who was missing from 1200 hours this afternoon from Kochi, whose a dead body found at Muslim cemetery in Kochi late this evening. Police arrested a suspected accused Pradeep Deelip Powar(27), who confessed to brutal murder after he was oppressed with beating a tiny girl and through his dead body at a Muslim cemetery.
After the news spread in the village, the irate villagers gathered at the spot while top police officers including additional SPS Jayshree Gaikwad, Tirupati Kakade, DYSP Rameshwar Vaijane rushed to the spot and consoled the irate gathering with appealed for calm and not to breach the peace. Police investigating further.
