​Senapati: The District Administration of Senapati successfully conducted an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign under the Jan Bhagidaari—Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle initiative under DA-JGUA and PM JANMAN today at Willong Community Hall for Willong T. D. Block. The Campaign was held organised under the supervision of S. Plim Reikhenamai, MCS, Block Development Officer/ Sub- Divisional Officer of Willong.

​Addressing at the event, S Plim Reikhenamai, MCS welcomed and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the people in tribal empowerment campaign. He highlighted the significance of the initiative, which aims to create awareness and strengthen tribal community in remote areas through active participation in government developmental programmes. He also lauded the lines department for extending essential services and implementing welfare essential services and implementing welfare schemes for the benefit of the people. The BDO further elaborated on various key government programme such as PM Kisan, Health Card, Screening of NCD, certificates and other sponsorship programmes for tribal villages.

​Representatives and experts from line departments of Health, Agriculture, Banking Institutions and Social Welfare also sensitized the attendees on a range of welfare schemes and services. These included the importance of HPV vaccination, PM-KISAN, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), issue of Health Card, issue of Birth & Death certificate and other department-specific programs.

​The campaign also featured interactive community activities, including a plantation drive led by the BDO Willong and a Transect walk joined participated in by residents of host village and neighbouring villages.

​Around 170 participants from 12 villages across the Willong T.D. Block attended the IEC Campaign. Additionally, 10 stalls were set up by various line departments consisting of Health, Agriculture, Forest, SDO Willong, Social Welfare, ICDS, DCPU, Banking Sectors, ADC and Horticulture & Soil Conservation to provide on-the-spot services and information.

Many attendees were guided and made aware on various government- sponsored schemes such as Ration Card, PM KISHAN, Mission Vatsalya, PMSBY, PMJJBY, PMMVY, Old Age, etc. and NCDs Screening services. Additionally, 80 tree saplings were distributed during the plantation drive to promote environmental awareness and a greener environment.
