Imphal: The Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved the proposal of Department of Telecom( DoT) to proliferate Broadband through Public Wi-Fi networks under the framework of the Prime Minister’s WI-Fi Access Network Interface (PM-WANI) at the end of 2020, stated in a press note of DDG, Manipur, North East LSA, Imphal.
The PM-WANI framework facilitates ease of doing business and encourages local shops and small establishments to become Wi-Fi Hotspot providers (PDO).
Based upon the feedback and suggestions therein and to invite more participation of prospective PDOs/PDOAs; DoT NE LSA unit is organizing second virtual meet on PM-WANI on 22nd February,2022 at 11.30 hrs.
All interested prospective PDOs/PDOAs/ Citizens may submit their willingness to join along with suggestions/feedback at dirsc.man-dgt-dot@gov.in to enhance proliferation of Broadband through PM-WANI framework, the press noted added
