Saturday sees 122 new positive cases, 67 recoveries, no death in Manipur

Imphal: After a few days of much-reduced positivity rate, Manipur positivity rate increase to 5.3 % with 122 new positive cases among the general population out of a total of 2, 075 persons tested in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Saturday. During the same period, the state also reported 67 recoveries and no Covid related death, as per an official release from the health department.

Of the 122 persons who tested positive from the general population, 54 of them are from Imphal West, 43 from Imphal East, sic each from Ukhrul and Kamjong, five from Kakching, four from Chandel, two from Bishnupur and one each from Kangpokpi and Thoubal.

Meanwhile, of the 67 persons who recovered and were discharged, 15 of them are from home isolation, 38 from CCCs and 14 from JNIMS.  The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.67 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 23,1229 out of which 1,20, 361 have recovered leaving 961 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on October 22, 2021, is 11,997and the cumulative number of doses administered is 18, 76,184 (1st dose 12,40,395, 2nd dose 6,35,789).
