Moscow: Russia is closing its skies to the air carriers of the Baltic countries, as well as Slovenia, the Federal Agency for Air Transport (Rosaviatsiya) says.
“In connection with unfriendly decisions of the aviation authorities of Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia and Estonia, restrictions are introduced for air carriers of these states, and/or air carriers registered there, to operate flights to destinations on the territory of the Russian Federation, including transit flights through the airspace of the Russian Federation,” Rosaviatsiya said.
The Russian air transport agency specified that this is a response measure that is being implemented in accordance with international law.
