Recoveries at 57 exceed new positive cases at 46 Saturday

The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus is from Churachandpur, with this, the cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,931. The person who expired had co-morbidities and had taken the 2nd dose of Covid vaccine.

Imphal: The number of recovered cases in Manipur at 57 was more than new positive cases which were reported at 46 in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Saturday. During the same period, one more person succumbed to Covid related death as per an official release from the health department.

The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus is from Churachandpur, with this, the cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,931. The person who expired had co-morbidities and had taken the 2nd dose of Covid vaccine.

Of the 46 persons who tested positive from the general population, 30 of them are from Imphal West,  seven from Imphal East, three Kakching, two from Tamenglong and one each from Kamjong, Kangpokpi, Thoubal and Ukhrul.

Altogether, 1,116 persons were tested giving a positivity rate of 4.1 %.

Meanwhile, 57 persons recovered and were discharged, 12 of them from home isolation, 27 from CCCs, and 17 from JNIMS and one from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.88 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 24,047 out of which 1,21,415 have recovered leaving 701 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on November 5, 2021, is 4,050, the cumulative number of doses administered is 20,03,644 (1st dose 12,52,719, 2nd dose 7,50,925).
