New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a brief meeting with Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Zhaparov on the sidelines of the COP26 Summit in Glasgow, and invited him to visit India in 2022, the Kyrgyz President’s website said in a release.
During the conversation, the two sides discussed issues on a wide range of bilateral cooperation, as well as within the framework of international organizations.
President Zhaparov and PM Modi, noting that Kyrgyzstan and India are friendly countries with long-term relations of diversified cooperation, confirmed their readiness to strengthen and develop them, it said.
Following the conversation, Narendra Modi invited Sadyr Zhaparov to pay an official visit to India in 2022 at a convenient time.
PM Modi was in Glasgow for the COP26 Leaders’ Summit and returned on Wednesday.
