Imphal: A combined team of Imphal East police commandos and 16 Assam Rifles arrested one active member of UNLF from Thambalkhong Laishram Leikai near Eastern Garden on March 8 at around 2.55 pm.
The cadre has been identified as Athokpam Bijendro Singh alias Boy (39 years), son of A Bir Singh of Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal, Leirak, Imphal East District.
The arrested person was handed over to Porompat Police Station for further legal action. In this regard, a case has been registered at the same police station, as per a press note from the PRO, Manipur Police, W Basu.
