One more succumbs to Covid Monday, cumulative death toll 2002

The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus is from Imphal West. He had co-morbidity and had not been vaccinated with the 2nd dose.

Imphal: Manipur reported one Covid related death, nine positive cases and 12 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Monday, as per an official release from the Health Department.

The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus is from Imphal West. He had co-morbidity and had not been vaccinated with the 2nd dose. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2002.

Of the nine persons who tested positive from the general population, five of them are from Imphal West, three from Imphal East and from Ukhrul. Altogether, 781 persons were tested for a positivity rate of 1.2 %.

 Meanwhile, 12 persons recovered and were discharged, one of each from home isolation and Rims, three from CCCs and seven from JNIMS. The recovery rate in Manipur now stands at 98.27 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,732 out of which 1,23,552 have recovered, leaving 178 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on December 26, 2021, is 1,025, the cumulative number of doses administered is 22,96,560 (1st dose 13,19,344, 2nd dose 9,77,216).
