One death, 25 new cases, 41 recoveries in Manipur Monday

The lone person who expired due to the deadly virus is from Imphal East. The deceased person had co-morbidities had had not been vaccinated. The cumulative death toll of the state now stands at 2112.

Imphal: Manipur reported one Covid-related death, 25 new positive cases and 41 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Monday,, as per an official release from the Health Department.

The lone person who expired due to the deadly virus is from Imphal East. The deceased person had co-morbidities had had not been vaccinated. The cumulative death toll of the state now stands at 2112.

Of the 25 persons from the general population who tested positive, seven are from Imphal East, five from Imphal West, three from Noney, two each from Bishnupur, Senapati and Tengnoupal and one each from Tamenglong, Thoubal and Ukhrul.

Altogether 904 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 2.8 % 

Meanwhile, 41 persons recovered and were discharged, 25 of them from home isolation, six from CCCs and five each from JNIMS and RIMS. 

The recovery rate of the state stands at 98.22%. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 36, 783 out of which 1, 34, 349 have recovered leaving 322 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on February 27, 2022, is 935, the cumulative number of doses administered is 27,06,820 (1st dose 15,10, 771, 2nd dose 11,36, 836) and precautionary dose 59,212.
