NTCP-Mon conducts enforcement drive

In all 34 shops were found selling tobacco products near educational institutions. The team seized the products and destroyed the items at the outskirts of the town.

Kohima:  An enforcement drive on sale of tobacco products within 100 yards of educational institutions was carried out under National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) Mon on 1st February 2021 at Mon Town.

The team consisted of members from District Administration, Excise Department, Mon Town Council and Police personnel. The team was led by District Nodal officer NTCP-Mon, Dr. I Simon Sumi.  The drive was conducted to ensure the proper implementation of COTPA 2003.
