NPP supremo congratulates party winners in Manipur

“The NPP extends its heartiest congratulations to our seven candidates who have emerged victorious in the election to the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly,” Sangma said in a statement.

Shillong: National People’s Party (NPP) Supremo and Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday hailed the performance of his party in the Manipur assembly election and observed that the performance of the NPP has “increased manifold” compared to the 2017 assembly elections.

“We at the NPP are delighted that our vote share has further increased, indicating that the electorate have shown trust and faith on the ideology of the NPP to protect political-socio-economic interest of the North Eastern States,” Sangma, who had extensively campaigned in Manipur for his party candidates ahead of the polls, said.

“The NPP extends its heartiest congratulations to our seven candidates who have emerged victorious in the election to the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly,” Sangma said in a statement. “We are confident that our newly elected MLAs from the NPP will affirm their commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Manipur,” he said.

“The NPP accepts the people’s mandate with utmost humility. We thank our party workers, including our women wing and youth wing who have tirelessly campaigned for the success of the NPP,” Sangma said and congratulated all the winning candidates irrespective of political parties.
