No death reported Wednesday in Manipur, 30 test positive, 28 persons recover

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Tuesday, there is no report of any death in Manipur, fatality tally due to Covid-19 remains at 365. During the same period, 30 persons (14 males and 16 females) from the general Population and 2 personnel of the Central Armed Police Force tested Covid-19 positive, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The 30 persons who tested positive from the general population include 7 each from Imphal East and Thoubal, 5 from Tamenglong, 4 from Imphal West, 3 from Bishnupur and 1 each from Chandel, Kamjong and Churachandpur. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.

The total number of discharged persons is 28. They are from CAPF (2), Home Isolation (15), DBMS (6), LICK (1), SHRI (1), PR Kakching (2) and Rajmed (1).

Meanwhile, 28 persons were discharged from Home Isolation and various CCCs of the state. 15 of those discharged are from Home Isolation, 6 from DBMS, 2 each from CAPF and PR Kakching and 1 each from LKK, SHRI and Rajmed.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 28,725 (General Population — 25,327 and Central Security Personnel — 3,398). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 27,879(General Population — 24,511 and Central Security Personnel — 3,368). The number of active cases is 481(General Population — 455 and Central Security Personnel — 26). The recovery rate is 97.05 %.
