Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading upto 2 pm of Thursday, no Covid related death was reported, as 17 persons tested positive from the general popu8lation and 16 others recovered and were discharged, as per an official release from the Health Department.
Of the 17 persons who tested positive from the general population, 11 of them are from Imphal West, and two each from Imphal East, Bishnupur and Chandel. Altogether, a total of 1,391 samples were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 1.2%.
Meanwhile, 16 persons recovered and were discharged, six of them from home isolation, four from CCCs, five from JNIMS and one from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 98.16 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,586 out of which 1,23,279 have recovered, leaving 314 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on December 15, 2021, is 4,953, the cumulative number of doses administered is 22,53,007 (1st dose 13,06,925, 2nd dose 9,46,082).
