No Covid related death in Manipur, 39 new cases, 43 recoveries

Imphal: Monday saw a much improvement in the Covid situation in Manipur with no death reported, just 39  persons (38 general population, one CAPF) testing Covid positive and 43 persons recovering and getting discharged, in the last 24 hours, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the 38 persons who tested positive from the general population, 16 are from Imphal West, 10 from Imphal East, three each from Bishnupur and Kakching, two each from Chandel and Thoubal and one each from Churachandpur, Noney and Ukhrul.

Altogether, 2,327 persons were tested for a positivity rate of 2.6 %.

Meanwhile, 43 persons recovered and were discharged Saturday, two of them from home isolation, 27 from CCCs, six from JNIMS and one from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.82 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 24,957 out of which 1,22,317 have recovered leaving 678 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on November 21, 2021, is 2,229, the cumulative number of doses administered is 21,05,568 (1st dose 12,70,396, 2nd dose 8,35,172).
