Udaipur (Tripura): Tulamura PHC under Udaipur subdivision of Gomati District in South Tripura on Saturday granted the National Quality Assurance Certificate for its activities in providing health care services to the local populace.
Sharing this information in the course of conversation with Kiran Bhowmik, UNI Stinger reporting from Tripura, Medical Officer-In-Charge (MOIC) of Tulamura PHC Dr Joyshankar Majumder said that a letter had been issued by Vandana Gurnani, Additional Secretary & Mission Director (NHM) bearing number D O No NHSRC/19-20/QI/01/Tripura dated 5th August 2021 to Jitendra Kumar Sinha, Principal Secretary (H&FW), Department of (H&FW), Government of Tripura.
The letter has stated that the virtual assessment of PHC Tulamura, Gomati District, Tripura for National Quality Assurance Certification in accordance with the facility underwent virtual assessment by the empanelled External Assessors on July 26, 2021 and the weightage score and the overall score of PHC Tulamura, Gomati District in the state of Tripura is 87.28 per cent and 89.53 per cent respectively. The Tulamura PHC under Gomati District of Tripura has granted ‘Quality Certification’ under the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) for a period of one year from the date of issue of this letter on August 5, 2021.
The NQAS certification is recognition for the high standards maintained by the hospitals in Tripura’s public health system. In the course of a telephonic conversation with Dr Subhasis Debbarma, the Director of Health Services has congratulated all the officials of the health department of PHC Tulamura for this achievement.
In accordance with the virtual assessment report of the aforementioned facility, the departmental score in percentage is followed by OPD-92, Laboratory-95, Labour Room-89, IPD-90, National Health Programme-84 and General Administration 91.
There are a total of 14 standard parameters in which Tulamura PHC scored a hundred per cent in accordance with the virtual assessment by empanelled External Assessors on 26th July 2021.
