Kohima: The new cases of COVID-19 in Nagaland came to a downward trend and on Tuesday it has recorded 174 new cases, which increased the total number of COVID- 19 cases in the state to 21,854.
Nagaland Health Minister Pangnyu Phom informed that among the 174 fresh cases, the highest 58 cases were reported in Dimapur followed by 43 in Mokokchung, 20 in Tuensang, 16 cases in Kohima, 12 in Mon, 10 in Phek, eight in Wokha, five in Zunheboto, one in Kiphire and one in Longleng.
Meanwhile, a total of 373 more COVID positive patients recovered in Nagaland Tuesday, which included 208 in Kohima, 57 in Mon, 36 in Dimapur, 22 in Tuensang, 17 in Zunheboto, 16 in Phek, 10 in Mokokchung, five in Longleng and two in Wokha, Phom said.
With these, the total number of cases has now reached 21, 854, the active cases are now 4725, a total of 16,111 people have been recovered so far and with nine more deaths, the COVID-related death toll rose to 372.
