Monday sees 23 positive cases, 14 recoveries, no death in Manipur

Of the 23 persons who tested positive from the general population, 12 of them are from Imphal West, eight from Imphal West and one each from Bishnupur, Chandel and Kangpokpi. Altogether 923 persons were tested which amounts to a positivity rate of 2.5 %

Imphal: For the second consecutive day there was no Covid related death in Manipur Monday. Meanwhile, 23 persons from the general population tested positive and 14 persons recovered and were discharged, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the 23 persons who tested positive from the general population, 12 of them are from Imphal West, eight from Imphal West and one each from Bishnupur, Chandel and Kangpokpi. Altogether 923 persons were tested which amounts to a positivity rate of 2.5 % 

Six of the 14 persons who recovered are from CCCs and four each from home isolation and JNIMS. The recovery rate in Manipur now stands at 98.25 % 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,650 out of which 1,23,451 have recovered, leaving 204 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on December 19, 2021, is 1,360, the cumulative number of doses administered is 22,69,924 (1st dose 13,11,828, 2nd dose 9,58,096).

The official release further informed all passengers who travelled by AI-869 on December 11 in seat numbers 5-11 and 6E on December 12 in sets numbers 25-30 to get in touch with Common Control Room at 1800-345-3818 or their respective District Surveillance Officer (DSO) immediately for further surveillance and necessary quarantine and testing.
