MLA Imo donates another 5 BPAP ventilators to Manipur Govt

Imphal: For a second time in three days, Sagolband Assembly constituency MLA Raj Kumar Imo has donated another five BPAP Ventilators to the Government of Manipur to support its efforts to cope with the Covid-19 crisis.

Imo presented the five ventilators to Dr K Rajo Singh, Director of Health Services, Government of Manipur, at his residence on Tuesday.

Stating that the present wave of Covid-19 has seriously affected the entire populace of Manipur, MLA Imo appealed to people to unite in this time of crisis and said we must contribute whatever we can to defeat the dreaded disease.

The MLA also hoped that these ventilators can be utilized for the welfare of the people especially in the interior regions of Ukhrul, Churachandpur and Thoubal district.

Expressing his sincere gratitude to the MLA and Ministers who have donated to the government so far, Director Dr K Rajo said these ventilators are particularly useful and are portable which can be used in any part of the state. These high-quality ventilators meet the needs of present crisis, he added.

On Sunday, MLA Raj Kumar Imo also donated five ICU Portable Ventilators (BPAP iBreeze Series from Resvent) to Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal (JNIMS), which he hoped will enable the hospital authorities to save more lives.

Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly K. Robindro donated 40 D-Type oxygen cylinders to Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund on Tuesday.

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh has expressed profound thankfulness to Shri K. Robindro for his generosity.
