Kolasib: Jordan Home, located at Sethawn and primarily established as a De-addiction and Rehabilitation Centre under Social Welfare Department, is now being utilized as the main Covid-19 Care Centre in Kolasib district. It currently houses 124 Covid-19 positive patients.
Supply Minister Lalrinliana Friday donated several food items, masks and other essentials to the CCC. The food items include chicken, dal, cooking oil and rice for the patients.
Being the nearest village to Jordan Home, the Bualpui VLTF, having concern for the well-being of the patients at the Centre, also donated various food items for the inmates and workers today.
Jordan Home is estimated to have a total capacity of 200 Covid patients at a time. The Centre is closely monitored by a 5-member medical team and 6 security personnel.
