Aizawl: Joel Joseph Denga, a retired MJS officer and K.Lalhmingliana, a retired MCS officer were sworn in as the new Judicial Member of Mizoram Lok Ayukta and Member of Mizoram Public Service Commission, respectively at the swearing-in ceremony held at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Aizawl Thursday forenoon.
The proceeding for oath-taking commenced with Dr Renu Sharma, Chief Secretary who read the warrant of appointment by the Governor. Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati first administered the Oath of Office to Joel Joseph Denga. The Governor then administered the Oath of Office, Allegiance and Secrecy to K.Lalhmingliana.
Chief Minister Lalduhoma led the attendance of the dignitaries. Speaker Lalbiakzama, Cabinet Ministers and other dignitaries were among those in attendance at the swearing-in programme.
Joel Joseph Denga holds a BA and an LL.B Degree. He joined the Mizoram Judicial Service on May 24, 2011. During his career in MJS, he held several key positions under Mizoram Law & Judicial Departments. On January 12, 2018, he was promoted to the rank and position of District and Session Judge. He was holding the post of District and Session Judge, Aizawl at the time of this new appointment.
K.Lalhmingliana holds a B. Sc (Hons) Degree. He joined the Mizoram Civil Service on April 1, 1998. During his career in MCS, K.Lalhmingliana held several key posts within various departments under the government of Mizoram, starting from Junior Grade to Supertime B grade. He was the incumbent Municipal Commissioner, AMC at the time of this new appointment.
