Chandel: The three-day Public Welfare Camps Campaign, “Jan Kalyan Shivir”, which was commenced on June 17, 2026, concluded today at the campus of the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Chandel.

Sub Divisional Officer Chendel, Reikimdaar Khaling, Md. Tajuddin, SDO Chakpikarong, Angom Momo Singh, District Fishery Officer (DFO) and Stephen Nula, District Co-operative Officer (DCO) took the dais at today’s closing function.

The campaign was organized with the objective of bringing various government welfare schemes and public services to the people through a single platform. During the three-day programme, different government departments set up stalls to register eligible beneficiaries and disseminate information on their respective schemes and programmes.

Departments including Fisheries, Horticulture, Agriculture, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), Forest, District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), and Social Welfare Department set up stalls at the function. Officials from the departments interacted with the public provided guidance on availing government schemes.
