Gangtok: Some unknown miscreants have broken the door of the Health Department at the Tashiling Secretariate and also damaged two ATMs belonging to the State Bank of Sikkim, police said here on Wednesday. Speaking to UNI, DIG Police Range Bhim Kumar Tamang said that nothing was lost.
A double attempt was made last night between 2300 hrs and 0030 hrs. Some miscreants broke open the lock of Health Department in Tashiling Secretariate. Two ATMs were also broken, but no cash was stolen or property has been lost. A case was registered, after Sadar Police Station booked an FIR.
“A case was registered under Sections 457, 327, 380 and 511 IPC read with Section 3 of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property (PDPP)Act,” he added, stating that investigation was underway.Â
