Shillong: Meghalaya recorded 320 new Covid-19 cases and an equal number of cases of recovery from the viral disease, taking the number of active cases to 2,419 and 86,585 on Saturday, health officials said.
The State also reported three more Covid-related deaths, mounting the fatality figure to 1,518 in the state, which has recorded 90,522 confirmed cases so far.
Director Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War said the three deaths were reported from East Khasi Hills district, which also recorded 171 new positive cases surged the Covid-related death to 1,035 and active cause 1,342 as on date.
On the other hand, 32,107 health care workers have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, 29,312 have been administered with the second dose and 5,316 have taken the third precaution dose, while 96,991 front-line workers have got the first jab, 85,115 have taken the second shot and 11,168 have got the precaution dose, even as 12,02,655 persons from among the general public have been inoculated with the first dose, 8,15,585 have been fully vaccinated with the second dose and 1,483 citizens have taken the booster dose across the state as on date, according to the National Health Mission record.Â
