Meghalaya police recover explosives

Shillong: Meghalaya police on Tuesday recovered 129 gelatine explosives and detonators from Nongspung C village in Ri-Bhoi district, police said.

“The gelatine oils and sticks along with some detonators were hidden inside a culvert,” Nazarious Lamare, the district police chief of Ri-Bhoi district, said.

He said no one has been arrested and investigation is on to find out the persons who hid the explosives.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case under various sections of the IPC and explosives Act.
