Shillong: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has been reappointed as convener of the Group of Ministers (GoM) on casinos, race courses and online gaming, officials informed on Tuesday.
Last year, Sangma, who also holds the finance portfolio, had led the GoM to study GST rates on Covid related materials.
An office memorandum issued by the department of revenue, Union Ministry of Finance stated that Sangma will be the convener of the GoM.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, West Bengal Finance Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya, Gujarat Finance Minister Kanubhai Patel, Goa Minister for Panchayat Raj Mauvin Godinho, Tami Nadu Finance Minister Dr Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna and Telangana Finance Minister Thanneeru Harish Rao will participate in the GoM.Â
