Manipur’s positivity rate improves to 6.5% Sunday

Both the expired persons belong to Imphal West and one of them had co-morbidities while one of them have been vaccinated with the 1st dose. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1811.

Imphal: With 195 persons from the general population testing positive out of a total sample of 2,995, Manipur’s positivity rate improved significantly to 6.5 % in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Sunday. During the same period, the state reported 2 deaths and 293 recoveries, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

Both the expired persons belong to Imphal West and one of them had co-morbidities while one of them have been vaccinated with the 1st dose. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1811.

 The 195 persons (98 males, 97 females) from the general population who tested positive include 102 from Imphal West, 41 from Imphal East, 11 from Thoubal, 9 from Chandel, 7 from Ukhrul, 5 from Churachandpur, 4 from Bishnupur, 3each from Kangpokpi, Pherzawl, Tamenglong, 2 from Tengnoupal and 1 each from Kakching and Noney.

Of the 293 persons who were discharged,123 were from home isolation, 105 from CCCs, 46 from CHICs, 8 from RIMS and 11 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 96.11 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,17,094 (General Population – 1, 12,923, Central Security Personnel 4,171). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 12,536 (General Population – 1, 08,409, Central Security Personnel – 4,127). The number of active cases is 2,747 (General Population – 2,708, Personnel – 39).

The total number of doses administered on September 11, 2021, is 3,036 and the cumulative number doses administered is 15,93,856 (1st dose 12,00,549, 2nd dose 3,93,307)

The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 12 is 605 out of which 504 are general beds while 101 are ICU beds.

The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 12 is 3467 out of which 775 are occupied and 2692 are vacant.
