Imphal: Manipur’s positivity rate fell below 1 % at .9% on Tuesday as only 14 persons tested Coronavirus positive out of a total of 1, 495. The state also reported 21 recoveries leading to a further reduction of active cases to 316 from the previous day’s 325. During the same period, as per an official release from the Health Department.
One of the two persons who succumbed to Covid-19 was from Imphal East while the other one is from Kakching. Both the expired persons had co-morbidities and while one had taken the 2nd dose of Covid vaccine, the other person had not been vaccinated. The cumulative death toll of the state now stands at 1,992.
Of the 14 persons who tested positive from the general population, seven of them are from Imphal West, four from Imphal East and one each from Bishnupur, Noney and Thoubal.
Meanwhile, 21 persons recovered and were discharged, seven of them from home isolation, nine from CCCs and seven from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 98.16 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,549 out of which 1,23,241 have recovered, leaving 316 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on December 13, 2021, is 6,089, the cumulative number of doses administered is 23,43,014 (1st dose 13,04,316, 2nd dose 9,38,698).
