Imphal: Manipur, just after seeing a record single-day spike of 1,123 till date just the other day, reported the highest single-day positive cases of 1,171 in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Saturday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 common Control Room.
This record number of 1,172 persons was found positive out of 6,942 persons tested. The positivity rate on Saturday stands at 16.9%.
During the same period, 15 persons succumbed to Covid-19 while 742 persons recovered, for a recovery rate of 87.10%..
The 15 persons who expired, include 6 from Imphal West, 3 from Churachandpur, 2 from Bishnupur and 1 each from Imphal East, Thoubal, Kakching and Jiribam. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1365.
Of the 1,172 persons (525males, 576 females) from the general population who tested positive, 358 are from Imphal West, 255 are from Imphal East, 141 from Bishnupur, 96 are form Churachandpur, 82 form Kakching, 53 from Tamenglong, 42 from Chandel, 21 from Kangpokpi, 13 from Senapati, 5 from Tengnoupal, 4 each from Jiribam and Ukhrul, 2 from Pherzawl and 1 from Kamjong.
While, of the 742 persons who recovered and were discharged, 302 of them are from home isolation, 286 from CHICs, 123 from CCCs, 18 from RIMS and 13 from JNIMS.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 83,859(General Population – 79,922, Central Security Personnel – 3,937). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 73,047(General Population – 69,208, Central Security Personnel – 3,839). The number of active cases is 10,812(General Population – 10,719Central Security Personnel – 95).
27,199 persons were vaccinated on June July 16, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 10,10,355 (1st dose 9,00,954, 2nd dose 1,09,401).
The official release further informed that the number of patients admitted/adjusted as on July 14 against available bed strength in different treatment facilities in the state are RIMS(225/224), JNIMS(237/286), I land Hospital(31/60), district Covid facilities (150/332), MSF(21/30), private Covid hospitals(230/260), CCCs 1364/2946). Grand total of admitted patients is 2263beds available is 1961.
